The whole experience was very unlike the Hilton brand. I'm not the type of person that thinks that paying an expensive hotel entitles me to royalty treatment but this was simply not Hilton or Doubletree standard by far. The room was nice and big, no problem with that. The couch was old, tired, dirty and had a recognizable rip on it. There wasn't water, snacks, or anything in the room courtesy or for purchase. No milk, no tea, nothing. There are better amenities at a motel in a small town in New Zealand. After our first night we saw the housekeeping trolley as we left in the morning and came back at 3pm and our room was still not cleaned. When I called reception the lady was extremely surprised that I wanted my room cleaned and was almost bothered that I had asked. We left again while our room was being cleaned - I had to speak to the housekeeper directly and when we came back they had left our dirty glasses behind. Not changed or even taken away. Overall I will not come back to this hotel unless the price reflects its quality which is certainly not an average of $500 a night. Terribly disappointed.

The best service I've ever received out of all the Hilton Brands I've been to. Wonderful customer service, and through Hilton Honor diamond recognition. I was given a suite upgrade, welcome drinks, dessert platter and ofcourse the classic DoubleTree cookie. The suite was very tidy and neat with beautiful decors. Bathroom was amazing with separate tub and shower as well as a separate room for the toilet. Easily a better stay than some of the 5 star counterparts in the country (Hilton Auckland/Hilton Frankton). Will definitely be my first choice when I visit again.

Great stay here, the rooms are spacious enough and have everything you need for a couple of nights stay, they also have a gym though I didn't get to pop in there. The only thing I can fault is the breakfast, or at least the buffet breakfast... Terrible, the bacon was watery and seemed barely cooked, the scrambled eggs should definitely be skipped, mushrooms not bad. Is suggest going somewhere else to get your most important meal of the day. Other than that, friendly and helpful staff, the place looks great and is very well situated to make the most of Wellies.

The service was great and the hotel is centrally located and breakfast was really nice, but, the room is really small compared to similar priced hotels in Wellington. We struggled to find parking to check-in. There were marks from glassware on my bedside table. Neither the Cafe nor the restaurant were open when we turned up at 1pm, so we had to walk around for 2 hours before we could check-in. Good point - check out was 12pm.

My recent stay at the Doubletree Wellington was not as expected. Upon arrival, my partner and I were greeted by the friendly front desk staff and agreed for an early check in. Our room was clean and spacious. When it was time for check out, there was some miscommunication with the booking reference and payment. The hotel agreed to hold our bags while we waited for our flight. However, while we were out of the hotel, I noticed that I had been charged for the room twice, which I had already prepaid before arrival. The hotel had taken money from my account. I found this very unprofessional and not up to the expectations from a Hilton hotel. When they tried to refund the money, I was instead charged again. I have now received my refund but It was a complete waste of time.

Location is great? Service is not Parking is not included and it’s extra $37 per night ! Breakfast is not included and it is extra I have booked a deal with breakfast included and the first day they simply said it is not included and you have to pay until I showed them the email….. Subpar customer service in Spring Kitchen restaurant, part of DoubleTree Hilton Wellington.We used First Table to try this restaurant for the first time, it’s a great website to encourage new patrons to venues. We arrived and were the only people in the entire restaurant. I ordered a medium rare ribeye steak main course with green beans and twice cooked potatoes as side dishes. When the food arrived my steak was cooked through - it was not medium rare. I returned it. We could hear the waiter, chef and Manmeet (unsure of job title) discuss that there were no ribeye steaks and to offer me a tenderloin instead. This discussion went on for five minutes as my friend ate her main before they approached the table. I agreed reluctantly to a substandard steak. I waited patiently for a further 20 minutes for this steak to arrive. I was not offered new hot sides to replace the ones that had gone cold while waiting for this to arrive. While waiting for the second steak to arrive I clearly heard the chef tell the waiter and Manmeet to not charge me for the steak as it was the kitchen’s fault the steak was not cooked to order the first time (remember there is no one else in the entire restaurant at this point). I thought ‘great customer service, I’ll stay for dessert now’.Ordered dessert - which was wonderful. Went to pay the bill and the ribeye steak was still on it. I challenged Manmeet. His response was that they had “offered a solution” by giving me the option to have a replacement steak. I explained that I heard the chef state not to charge me. Manmeet said that the chef said not to charge me for the ribeye but charge me for the tenderloin (they are the same price) and remember the receipt states ribeye (picture included in review where possible) so this is clearly untrue.I asked what the compensation was for waiting nearly 30 minutes to eat my meal while my friend had finished hers. Again Manmeet said that they “offered me a solution” by replacing the steak that was not cooked to order with a completely different steak. I then went to speak to the chef and she apologised and confirmed that she said to not charge me for the steak. When I challenged Manmeet he said the chef has no say over the final bill and he has decided to include the steak in the final total with no compensation for the issues experienced.I would not eat here again and I highly recommend you do not either. Had I not heard the chef clearly state to refund the meal I would have left after the main course myself. I sincerely hope the restaurant and hotel invest in some customer service training.

Normal checkin 3 pm. Arrived at 2 and room wasn’t ready, but was told it would be ready @ 3. Came back at 4 and room still wasn’t ready. Was asked to wait in the bar. Half an hour later we got our room. Asked for a late checkout of 1.5 hour. This was referred to the manager, but wasn’t possible without being charged. Disappointing that they can be 1.5 hour late with checkin but can’t return the favour on checkout. Otherwise great hotel with very central inner city location. Rooms are nice and quality.

Great hotel, great location in CBD. Rooms are very nicely fitted out in contemporary design. Very helpful concierge. Yet to try the facilities but I am sure they will match the above.

The customer service was great, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I especially like how the location is so close to the shops. I do wish I knew how the breakfast buffet was pre-covid but overall the food was very nicely done.My only complaint would be the low airflow of the aircon in our room (made for uncomfortable nights for the hubby).
